Earlier this year Vane Brothers sent several dozen of their mariners to MITAGS facilities on both coasts for our Bridge Resource Management Refresher course.
This course explored several topics including situational awareness, the role of the towboat operator, voyage planning procedures, and working within a “Culture of Safety.” Each three-day BRM training session included classroom-based case-study analysis, as well as time spent on our simulators.

MS Oceania Fire Teams attend Team Training in Seattle
For most of the crew aboard the M/S Oceania, June 19 was just another port call in Seattle. For a select few however, it was a chance to spend the day battling large shipboard fires.
