The White House’s Maritime Action Plan, released on February 13, emphasizes sealift readiness, workforce development, industrial base resilience, and public-private collaboration—priorities that are central to the Mariners for America Conference’s mission and programming. Through focused discussions on mariner recruitment and retention, maritime education pathways, and policy alignment, the conference advances the Action Plan’s call to build and sustain a skilled U.S. mariner workforce. By convening government, industry, labor, and education leaders, it will foster the cross-sector partnerships vital to advancing the Action Plan’s objectives of reinforcing America’s maritime strength and national security readiness.
The Mariners for America Conference is being held at the Maritime Conference Center on MITAGS Linthicum Heights, MD campus. Dates are March 30 – April, 1.
