Course Description
This 4-day course covers all aspects of survival in accordance with the newest regulations prescribed by IMO and the U.S. Coast Guard. The underway training takes place aboard a contemporary 40-person motor enclosed lifeboat.
The Pacific Maritime Institute is pleased to partner with The Northwest Maritime Academy to offer Lifeboat / Proficiency in Survival Craft training in Seattle, Washington and the Puget Sound. Lifeboat technology has changed dramatically over the last 20 years. We chose The Northwest Maritime Academy as they train on up-to-date / modern equipment that is abreast of the latest changes in vessels, launching appliances and hook release systems.
